Course Description 
Students will develop basic skills in keyboarding techniques on the computer. Emphasis is also placed on 
proofreading, correcting errors, and some introductory formatting of document preparation. Dual credit 
through Lewis & Clark Community College is an option for those who qualify.

Grades 
Grades will be given for tests, projects, homework assignments, classroom activities, and quizzes 
(announced and unannounced).  
Grading Scale:* 
90-100    A        QTR1 40%
80-89     B        QTR2 40%
70-79     C        Final  20%
60-69     D        
0-59%    F

Class Supplies 
Students must have a folder for handouts, a notebook for assignments and notes, and a pen or pencil in 
class each day. The Computer Keyboarding textbook may only be taken home in certain special 
circumstances with approval from the teacher and the department chairperson.
